In the various focus areas of the internet there seems to be whispers of AI and cloud being a “must-have” versus a convincing argument when it comes to infrastructure.
I am not boarding this bandwagon! And you don’t have to either. Securing hardware and maintaining support doesn’t always need to be a subscription or support contract. Hire professionals. They can find the software or build it to suit your company requirements. Outsourcing will reflect the end product. Just like when you purchase a vehicle and you have to take it to a dealer for a recall. The OEM doesn’t make all these parts but outsource to other manufacturers.
This can be great when it works, but cause significant harm to several companies when not executed correctly.
So buy the hardware, hire the correct person and let them keep you from being shell shocked with some PowerShell magic that with script the hard to do things and automate the others.
